The Roanoke Island Historical Association (RIHA) is proud to announce an Educator’s Discount as part of the 89th Anniversary Season of The Lost Colony. This discount, intended to be used by schoolteachers from the pre-kindergarten through collegiate level, will reduce ticket prices for educators by 25% across all seating areas in the Waterside Theatre. The Educator’s Discount is sponsored by Pepsi Bottling Ventures. 

To access this discount when booking tickets online at www.thelostcolony.org, look for the price code “Pepsi Educator”. The discount is also usable over the phone by calling The Lost Colony’s Box Office at 252-473-6000 or in-person. Educators may be asked to show proof of profession when redeeming this discount.

Dare County’s longest-running kids art program, the 37th Annual Artrageous Kids Art Festival, will be held THIS SATURDAY (May 9) from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Dowdy Park in Nags Head! 🎨🖌️🖼️

Artrageous is a free, family-friendly event that includes interactive art activities, live music and dance performances, as well as an artisan market and food vendors. Building paper kites, mask making, creating puppets, making buttons, metal stamping, throwing clay on a wheel, leaf rubbing, face painting, and constructing pinwheels are just a few of the free art activities that children can participate in at this year’s Artrageous.
