She explains, "The stallion is doing what’s called "sneaking," which is usually to push the mare in a direction he wants her to go," be it for safety or isolation from another stallion, but Shorty and the tour were perplexed as to why he was leading her up the beach toward the water. The mare didn't seem to mind as she just sauntered along beside him.

A full day for our SaltBox Crew as we had not one but TWO competition/charity events going on at the exact same time. Who said you couldn’t be at two places at once? Well..we did it!
Our crew took home 3rd place people’s choice at Duck Wine at Duck Woods AND 2nd place judge’s choice at the OBX Shrimp Cookoff!
Proceeds go the Beach Food Pantry and The Outer Banks Dolphin Research organization.
