Mark your calendars: We will be closed for 5 days from January 12-16 to work on projects, enrich animal care, tidy up, and prepare for 2026 -- our 50th Anniversary! 🎉
Though this one-week closure occurs annually, this year’s projects feel especially exciting as we head into our 50th year. We’ve been inspiring aquatic appreciation and conservation on North Carolina’s Outer Banks since 1976 and we are excited to welcome the public this year as we celebrate 50 years of joy, discovery, and connections with our natural world!
We will reopen on Saturday, January 17 refreshed and ready for another fin-tastic year!
In anticipation of a busy anniversary year, we highly encourage visitors to reserve tickets in advance. Reservations for tickets may be made for dates now through the end of September 2026! You can plan ahead and reserve your tickets through our website: www.ncaquariums.com/roanoke-island
