It was a true honor to have Combat Warriors on one of our trips this summer!
Roanoke Island Maritime Museum
The Maritime Museum is a working boat shop where volunteers and staff take on projects including small craft restoration, exhibit design, and new boat construction. The Elizabeth II, a replica of the ships said to have brought the famous Lost Colony to Roanoke Island in 1587 was constructed on this site.
Downtown Waterfront Playground
Colorful slides and swings fill the playground located on the waterfront adjacent to the Weather Tower and across from the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Those enjoying the children on the playground can relax on one of the benches and enjoy the panoramic view of Shallowbag Bay.
Walking and Bicycling
Roanoke Island lies between the North Carolina mainland and its barrier island, the Outer Banks. The heart of the island is the Town of Manteo's walkable historic downtown, with blocks of unique shops and restaurants, all bordered by beautiful waterfront views. Key historical attractions of the island include Roanoke Island Festival Park, the Outer Banks History Center, Fort Raleigh, and the Elizabethan Gardens, just to name but a few.

Dinner is looking delicious! We hope to see you.
Waterfront Marina
The waterfront marina is located in a tranquil setting in the Town of Manteo on Roanoke Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Clean Marina designated facility has many things to offer the local and traveling boater.
Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse
Stretching out 40 yards and tucked into Shallowbag Bay you will find the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. The lighthouse reminds you more of a small coastal cottage with its white exterior accented with black shutters and a brick-red roof. Capping the lighthouse is a Fresnel lens reaching out 2’ wide and up 4’ tall. Stroll down the weathered deck boards and visit the lighthouse to enjoy its never-ending views of the beautiful Roanoke Sound.
