The STAR Center sea turtle hospital at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island is caring for over 100 turtles, and they are in need of supplies. “Keeping it local whenever we can” is the name of the game, and this weekend we’re excited to be featuring FRESH LOCAL RADISHES from Island Farm on our English Garden Salad! Though the historic working farm here on Roanoke Island is closed to visitors for the season, they offer periodic “veggie drops” throughout the winter months, which sell out QUICKLY. We were fortunate enough to grab some of these beautiful radishes grown in that dark, rich Roanoke Island soil. Drop by this week and taste the many local flavors at Lost Colony Tavern!
