Ocracoke Peeps we love to do fundraisers and festivals. I think it's time for HWY 12 festival/fundraiser ???

So just wanted to give everyone heads up about hwy 12 and the weather forecast. We already have a constant sw wind building and will only increase from the south at 40 to 50 mph late Thursday thru Saturday with 8-11 foot seas and king tides the next 3 days. There will definitely be road closures on the North End, just hopefully a breach in the road doesn't happen but i'm extremely concerned it will. Ocracoke business and visitors be advised and please look for NOAA and ferry division updates over the next several days.
