Looks like we are not the only ones that enjoy a lazy start to a Sunday.

From our tour guide extraordinaire, Tree, about this moment on Friday afternoon's tour, "It was around 1 in the afternoon. A bit breezy but beautiful and warm. The horses came running out of the dunes in front of us and we stopped to allow them their space--then just as quickly as they ran, they just started taking a long walk on the beach.They had no care at all that we were there...probably in search of some pina coladas while getting caught in the rain 😏😉"

Tree, along with all of our tour guides, remind you to keep a safe and respectable distance from the horses at all times.

Pier Director Mike Remige gives Pam Cashwell a tour of the facility this morning. She was recently confirmed as our new Secretary for the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
