Everyone come on out for a day filled with good music and good times for good people! Saturday, May 4th we're hosting the 2024 Survivor Series in honor of our good friend Karen and all survivors to celebrate life! We'll have 9 local bands playing through the day inside and outside starting at 1pm going to 8pm. Because it is May the 4th we'll be holding a Star Wars Costume Contest around 6pm (we encourage costumes all day!) and will be holding a silent auction with proceeds going to local charity. It's going to be a great day you won't want to miss, and it's for a good cause!

Star Wars Costume Contest @6pm!

Skeeter Beater -- Excellent morning at the oceanfront! It's warm and the sun is shining! So far, nothing but SKATES. Winds are West at 12 knots. Water temp 56 degrees. Low tides 6:05 a.m. and 6:01 p.m. High tide 11:51 a.m. We are now selling Skeeter Beater!

Let's take a moment of appreciation for the incredible veterinary team we have here at the NC Aquariums. Our veterinary staff is based in Morehead City and travels to each facility frequently to ensure the health and well-being of our animals. Visiting teams are made up of one of our two full-time veterinarians, both boarded by the American College of Zoological Medicine, along with a full-time veterinary technician and rotating residents from the NC State University Zoological Medical program. These vets care for a wide variety of animals, including reptiles, amphibians, fish, and mammals. Their days can be quite varied. A "typical" day can include anything from seahorse surgery to pre-release exams on rehabilitated sea turtles. Just think of the vast majority of species you see in our facility; all of them are patients of our vets!
